Dr Joanna Minnis qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Surgery (Honours). She went on to complete her vocational training in a mixed general practice in Fife, Scotland, where she was then offered an associate post. During this period, she developed further postgraduate training and was awarded her MFDS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow. This broadened both her clinical knowledge and skill set in dentistry. Since then, Joanna has moved back home to Northern Ireland and joined the mydentist team in September 2024. Joanna has a particular interest in general dentistry and getting to know her patients to help them feel at ease during their appointments. She is also passionate about preventative dentistry with the aim of helping her patients keep their teeth for longer. Joanna has also completed ClearCorrect clear aligner training which allows her patients to achieve straighter looking teeth. Outside of work, Joanna enjoys staying active by playing hockey and regularly running, in addition to travelling, and can usually be found socialising with her friends.
