Dr Sagar Karandikar completed his BDS in Mumbai in 2003 and joined the company in 2006. Over the years, he has developed a reputation for high‑quality patient care and a calm, reassuring approach. From 2014 to 2020, he served as Lead Clinician at our Estover practice, where he also mentored newly qualified dentists as they transitioned into clinical practice. In 2021, he moved to our Plympton practice, continuing to provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. He offers a wide range of treatments, including cosmetic fillings, teeth whitening, crowns, bridges, dentures, facial aesthetics and root canal therapy. Endodontics is an area he is particularly passionate about, and he completed a Master’s Degree in Endodontics at Plymouth University in 2024 to further enhance his expertise. Alongside his clinical work, Sagar completed a BSc (Hons) with the Open University in 2022, studying diverse scientific fields ranging from astronomy and genetics to quantum physics and evolutionary biology. He also contributes to dental education as a supervisor at the Peninsula School of Dentistry, helping train the next generation of clinicians. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys travelling, wildlife and photography, often combining all three during his time away from the clinic.
