Shammi Rouf Implantologist

Dr. Shammi Rouf is an experienced dentist with a special interest in implant and surgical dentistry. She currently works peripatetically with her practice mostly focused on implant and surgical dentistry. After graduating from the University of Sheffield in 2005, she developed an early interest in surgery. This was formalised through Senior House Officer training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. In addition to gaining invaluable experience in managing complex medical patients, she attained core surgical skills. In 2007, she achieved the diploma of ‘Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery’ of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She was awarded a prize by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for her work which featured in the British Dental Journal. Since 2018, Shammi has been placing and restoring dental implants. She formalised her implant experience by undertaking an MSc in Dental Implantology. She graduated with a distinction and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Implant Dentistry in the same year. She offers complex implant procedures such as full arch implant rehabilitation including Same Day Smile. In her free time, she loves to travel, read books and drink coffee.

Ijaz Hussain GDP Private

Ijaz studied dentistry at the University of Peshawar, Pakistan qualifying in 1996. After six years in general practice in Pakistan, he came to the UK to further his qualification in dentistry. He has taken up a Senior House Officer Post in various NHS hospital Trusts and in 2005, he completed MFDS, RCPS qualification from Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Glasgow. In 2009, Ijaz passed his ORE examination and completed the Dental Foundation Training in 2010. Ijaz works in general practice with a special interest in Endodontics, completing a Masters degree in 2017 at the University of Chester. Ijaz has the privilege of working in Manchester Dental Hospital as a Specialty Dentist in the Endodontology department, meaning he is experienced in complex endodontics. Ijaz provides endodontic treatment on referral in general practice and is consulted by colleagues on issues around Endodontics. In addition, he is currently working as a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Endodontics at the University of Manchester; supervising qualified dentists in their training to be Endodontists. As a member of the British Endodontic Society (BES), he regularly attends seminars, conferences and undertakes postgraduate courses to keep up to date on developments in the field of dentistry and Endodontics.

Abdul graduated from the University of Leeds in 2011. He completed his 12-month Foundation training in London. Abdul has been at the {my}dentist Bury Bell Lane practice since February 2012 where he offers a wide range of general dental treatment and has a keen interest in aesthetic dentistry. Abdul has a keen interest in Orthodontic treatments and provides clear correct for teeth straightening at the practice. He also has a loyal patient base through his Denplan List. In the future he wishes to continue attending courses to remain up to date and enhance his skills further. As Abdul is from Bury he enjoys treating patients from the local community. In his spare time Abdul enjoys playing football, computing and spending time with his family.

David Rosenthal qualified from the university of Manchester in 1973 with BDS. David started of his career in NHS dentistry and has spent most of his time working on all aspects of general dentistry. He has also spent a lot of his time studying the joints in the jaw and on treatment of head and neck aches linked to this. During this period David spent some time as the chairman of the British society of occlusal studies. David has now been at the practice for over 20 years and mainly spends his time practicing general Dentistry. David has built up a solid patient base in bury and offers his patients both NHS and private dentistry. When not in work David enjoys attending the gym and spending time his family.

Donatos graduated from the University of Athens in Greece in 2007. He relocated to the UK in central London to start his career. He completed a year long postgraduate course in restorative dentistry with Professor Tipton and Dr Monik Vasant which helped him gain lots of experience in both aesthetic and restorative cosmetic dentistry.Donatos continued to improve his knowledge and skills whilst developing a special interest in dental implants. In 2014, he achieved his MSc in Dental Implantology at the University of Manchester. He now has 10 years of experience in providing dental implants. He has been on several advanced implant courses. His passion about the newest technologies has led him to take it a step further and pursue a Diploma in Digital Implantology and Guided Surgery.Giving patients beautiful new smiles really motivates him. He enjoys doing smile makeovers composite bonding and clear aligners. He is a certified Invisalign and Clear Correct provider with extensive experience in both systems to provide teeth straightening using clear aligners.Donatos loves using his high magnification loupes and has a keen eye for digital smile designs and dental photography.Outside of work Donatos enjoys spending time with his family, reading a good book and visiting the Lakes for trekking.

Dr. Mawadah Elsanosi graduated from University of Medical Sciences and Technology (Sudan) in 2007. Mawadah established her career in Sudan between general practice and dental hospital - gaining experience within all dental specialties. Mawadah joined us at {my}dentist Bury in 2022 offering both NHS and Private Dentistry and will always offer treatments which are in the best interest of the patient. Mawadah also offers our affordable private scheme, {my}options with flexible appointments and no waiting list.She takes a particular interest in composite fillings, but also offers a vast range of cosmetic dentistry including root canal treatments, cosmetic dentures, bridges, crowns, and teeth whitening. Currently Mawadah is studying restorative and operative dentistry at Tipton training academy in order to enhance her skills in aesthetic and restorative dentistry, in order to help patients improve their smile and gain confidence.Outside of work, Mawadah enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children.

Yichi qualified from university of CEU San Pablo, Madrid in 2022 with a Bachelor of Dentistry. In November 2023 Yichi joined our Narborough road practice where he found his passion in aesthetics dentistry and conservative dentistry, a method of dentistry which aims to maintain as much of your natural tooth as possible. This includes both tooth coloured fillings and dental whitening. As a professional, Yichi Consistently strives to update his knowledge by attending regular courses, events, and lectures. Yi chi has a very calm approach and makes patients feel at ease.In his spare time Yichi really enjoys cooking and enjoys nature. Yichi is our newest member of the team.

Laura join our team in November 2022 after qualifying as an Orthodontic Therapist from Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2022. Previous to qualifying Laura worked in dentistry for 11 years as a qualified Dental Nurse, she brings a vast wealth of dental experience to the practice. Being passionate in her dental nursing career made her want to progress into the orthodontic therapy role which enables her to support the Orthodontist at the practice delivering a seamless patient journey for those with braces. Laura's calming approach to her work puts our patients at ease and gives reassurance throughout their time at the practice. Laura loves a good game of football as a keen Manchester City fan and often goes to watch her team play at the Etihad.

Prior to gaining her qualification Saba worked as a dental nurse for {my}dentist in Bury for over 7 years, she enjoyed all aspects of dentistry and worked alongside a dental therapist which made her want to progress further in dentistry. Saba has a real passion for helping her patients improve and maintain their oral health. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, meeting new people, travelling and exploring new places. Saba is Bilingual and can speak both English and Urdu
